Tim Easley – Board President


Tim brings Outdoor Education and International Service Learning experience as well as international program development and management experience to our Board of Directors. With a B.S. in Recreation Management from Appalachian State University, and additional training from the National Outdoor Leadership School, Tim developed and honed his outdoor education skills working for a variety of different programs. Tim currently works for an International Service Learning program called Global Leadership Adventures where he has worked as an International Director in Tanzania and Thailand, Senior Enrollment Advisor and now is a Group Travel Manager designing custom service learning trips to meet the needs groups and schools from around the world. Tim’s experience as an outdoor educator, his collaboration with schools to design programs that meet specialized needs, his business sense and program leadership abilities, and his experience bridging cultural gaps all make Tim a wonderful asset to our Board of Directors.

Rebecca J. Harman, M.ED., ED.S. – Board Member


Rebecca is a native of Ohio and has worked as a VISTA Volunteer in the US Virgin Islands, at Liliuokalani Children’s Center in Oahu, Hawaii and as a special educator and administrator in Maryland. She has also worked as a Naturalist at the Alice Ferguson Foundation in Accokeek Maryland. She was an adjunct
professor in the special education graduate program at The George Washington University in Washington DC. After moving to Colorado, she combined her love of teaching with the outdoors, becoming the community garden manager at Mountain Valley School in Saguache. Rebecca’s career includes working with special needs children, ages K-12, training teachers in the area of special education, and facilitating outdoor environmental education programs. She has volunteered with developmentally disabled adults at Starpoint and currently at the local elementary school in Salida, Colorado. She holds an undergraduate degree from Denison University in Ohio and post graduate degrees from The George Washington University.

Linnaea Renz – Board Member


Linnaea Renz has dedicated over 10 years of her career to youth programming. Starting as a youth member of Youth Conservation Corps in Yellowstone National Park, she went on to lead youth in outdoor programming in the US and abroad. She also ran after school high school programming in Montana and job training programs for young adults and military veterans. She now calls Creede, CO her home, where she runs a bed and breakfast. Linnaea is excited to be a part of the AAI team and help bring positive opportunities to the youth of the San Luis Valley.
